Where to start...
Due to a number of issues, I am going on a leave of absence from my job for the rest of the year. It is hard to walk away from something you have done 50-70 hours a week for 23 years, but at this point it is the best thing for me and my family.
But then I think about the fact that I will get to be a stay at home dad for the first time ever, and actually get to go on field trips, and really get to see my kids more than an hour a day, and I get soooooo damn excited.
Add that to the fact that I have a wonderful wife who WANTS to go back to her career after 6 years and take on the financial responsibility for awhile.
I am truly a very lucky man, on the cusp of a new and exciting part of my life.
